Abid KhanEnvironmental Engineer 🌱Hi @illyasiqu,
That’s a very good question, and safety officers should clearly explain this to all employees, including management.
The role of safety department is different than commonly anticipated. The safety department provides support through inspection, training, and audits to ensure work activities are conducted in a safe manner. However, safety is dependent on the behaviour of employees and is required at all times. Only through shared responsibility (between the safety department and employees) can a better safety culture be created and safety at the site be ensured.
What are your views on why everyone should be responsible for safety?
Thank you.

illyas IqbalNewbie 🌱I my view ,Everyone being responsible for safety isn’t just a rule it’s what actually prevents accidents, injuries, and losses in real life. If safety is left only to supervisors or HSE officers, gaps appear quickly
Safety is not personal it’s team responsibility

Abdul RafayNewbie 🌱Safety is everyone’s responsibility because hazards exist in daily work, not just in policies.
The safety department provides rules and guidance, but workers control their actions on the ground.
One unsafe act can affect many people, so everyone must stay alert.
Shared responsibility helps prevent accidents faster and more effectively.
