The Sindh Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) has published Sindh Environmental Quality Standards (SEQS) on 28 January, 2016 in exercise of the powers conferred under clause (g) of sub-section (1) of the section (6) of Sindh Environmental Protection Act, 2014, with the approval of the Sindh Environmental Protection Council.
The SEQS are applicable to all kind of industrial and municipal effluents, industrial gaseous emission, motor vehicle exhaust and noise and ambient air. SEPA has also established standards for drinking water quality.
