In exercise of the powers conferred by section 36 of the Sindh Environmental Protection Act, 2014, the Sindh Environmental Protection Agency, with the approval of the Sindh Government published the Hazardous Substances Rules, 2014.
- Rule 4 – Application for licence shall be submitted with the Agency to import or transport a hazardous substance.
- Rule 9,10 – Addresses the requirement for Packing and labeling, and conditions of premises respectively.
- Rule 11 – List the General Safety Precautions under sub-rules that shall be taken by a licensee.
- Rule 12 – List the Safety Precautions under sub-rules that shall be taken by workers.
- Rule 16 – An authorized staff of the Agency may enter, inspect and monitor any premises for verification of any matter related to conditions of the licence.
- Rule 17 – Require applicant to submit Safety Plan.
