In exercise of the powers conferred by section 36 of the Sindh Environmental Protection Act, 2014 (VIII of 2014), the Environmental Protection Agency with the approval of the Government of Sindh, published the Sindh Hospital Waste Management Rules, 2014.
- Rule 3 – Put responsibility of managing of hospital waste from waste generation to its disposal on hospital owners, occupiers and operator.
- Rule 4 – It includes the requirements and content for devising a Hospital Management plan, and this Hospital Waste Management Plan submitted to the Agency on annual basis.
- Rule 5,6,7,8,9 – details about segregation, collection, storage, treatment and disposal of waste.
