In exercise of the powers conferred by section 36 of the Sindh Environmental Protection Act, 2014, the Sindh Environmental Protection Agency, with the approval of the Government of Sindh, published the Sindh Prohibition of Non-degradable Plastic Products (Manufacturing, Sale and Usage) Rules 2014.
- Rule 3 – All manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers of oxo-biodegradation plastic products and pro-degradant additive shall get themselves registered with the Agency within a period of three months from the date of commencement of these rules.
- Rule 6 – Director General shall authorize any person for any area to enter, search and inspect any premises where non-degradable products are manufactured.
