Policy and Procedures for the filling, review and approval of environmental assessments has been prepared by Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency and published in November, 1997 as a guideline for submitting, review and approval environmental reports.

The environmental assessment process from the project pre-feasibility stage to the approval of environmental report has been covered in these guidelines. While the section on administrative procedures has been superseded by the Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (Review of IEE/EIA Regulations), 2000.
