NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) is a UK-based independent examination board that provides globally recognized qualifications in health, safety, and environmental management. NEBOSH qualifications are highly valued by employers and individuals working in the health and safety industry.
Finally, NEBOSH has also launched the facility to verify NEBOSH certificate online like IOSH UK. NEBOSH also add QR code to some of qualification certificates to verify them directly. If your NEBSOH certificate has a QR code, you or your employer may verify the certificate by scanning the QR code.
How to verify NEBOSH certificate online
- Go to NEBOSH verifications page
- Enter the learner’s name, Date of achievement, and Master Log Certificate Number as per the information on your certificate. All information match with the certificate information and Master Log Certificate Number should be complete including the slash (/) with numbers before and after.
- Validate the Captcha and Click Send
You will redirected to Thank you page, which will show the information you entered and whether the certificate information matches with NEBOSH database. If it does not match, NEBOSH will show simple webpage with the following error in red color after information we added.
We were unable to verify the certificate using the details provided.
and if NEBOSH certificate is original and genuine, then webpage will have learner’s name in the background of the page as shown below and you will be able to download NEBOSH verification record.

How to verify NEBOSH certificate online in 2025
NEBOSH has changed verification process for NEBOSH certificates. Previously it was easier to verify learners NEBOSH certificate by providing required information such as learner name, date of certificate, and master log certificate number. However, NEBOSH has recently introduced an additional step in verification process that learner has to approve verification request which will be sent on learner’s registered email address. Moreover, it also ask for employer details incase an employer wants to verify employee’s certificate.
Follow the steps below to verify any NEBOSH certificate
- Visit NEBOSH validation portal
- Click/tap I confirm
- Enter your details if you are an employer and write “Learner” for organisation if you are NEBOSH certificate holder.
- Enter Learner details
- Click/tap Send request
Learner will receive a request email to confirm using an authorization code available in the email. After Learner accept the request, employer will receive confirmation email which will also include date of birth of learner to help employer verify NEBOSH certificate.
NEBOSH has also provided guideline for learners and as well as for employers to verify certificate online.
